Food Program

More than 1200 families each month ease financial hardship by shopping at Be Concerned. Through our food program, groceries and toiletries are distributed weekly to low-income families at no charge. Customers shop on a rotating basis by scheduled appointments. Individual selection of goods are important aspects of the program.

Clothing Store

Customers have the opportunity to shop year-round for gently used clothing and accessories. Special effort is made to provide children with school supplies and winter coats. More than 100,000 items are distributed annually, with most priced at just 50 cents.

Clothing store is open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays. Hours are 10:00 am - 12:30 pm.

Houseware Store

Customers have the opportunity to shop year-round for used housewares. Housewares are accepted through donations. The housewares are checked and repaired if need be, before they are offered for sale.

Christmas Store

Once the foundation of Be Concerned, the Christmas Store thrives as one of our most rewarding programs for customers, staff, and volunteers. More than 1,200 low-income families participate each year. No charge is required for holiday food, grocey items and health and hygiene products distributed through the Christmas Store.

In addition to the Christmas Food Program, families may participate in receiving New Toys, HUGS (hats, underwear, gloves, socks), Something Special (gift for every family) and Jewelry.

Easter Program

Each year, schools, churches, and businesses donate more than 1000 Easter baskets for children, 0-17 years of age, and cleaning, health, and hygiene products for families who are on our Food Program.

Fan Club

Over 800 new 20-inch box fans are purchased each year by Fan Club donors and distributed to low-income households in exchange for a small contribution.
